Coverage overview

Great Neck is an incorporated village in Nassau County with its own village government and three coverage ZIP codes, 11024, 11020 and 11021. Because Great Neck sits deep inside the Long Island and New York City metro area, our 15-mile coverage search returned an unusually large number of nearby towns, 42 individual Nassau and Westchester County municipalities plus the five boroughs that make up New York City.

Many of the towns below, including Manhasset, Port Washington, Levittown and Baldwin, are unincorporated hamlets or census-designated places governed directly by their town, with no separate village government of their own. We describe each one honestly by its real jurisdiction type rather than treating every nearby place the same way.

New York City is the one large exception on this list. Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan are not separate municipalities; they are names within the single consolidated New York City government. Rather than building a separate page for every neighborhood name inside them, we built one consolidated New York City coverage page summarizing the 104 in-range ZIP codes by borough. Staten Island is outside our 15-mile range and is not included.

How to use the list below: find your town and confirm the ZIP code matches the one on your mail, since a mailing-address town name does not always match the municipality you live in. If your ZIP is not listed or you are close to a town line, call and ask; coverage is confirmed on the phone before a visit is scheduled. The jurisdiction column also tells you which office to contact about rodents on public land, a village, city or town government, while rodents in or around your own building are what our visit covers.

Questions about our coverage area

How did you decide which towns to include?

Each town had to appear in our coverage data and be confirmed within about 15 miles of Great Neck by independent ZIP-code distance. Towns that only passed one check were left off.

Why is New York City one page instead of many?

Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan are boroughs of one consolidated city-county government, not separate municipalities, and the neighborhood names inside them are not distinct cities or villages. We summarize the 104 in-range ZIP codes by borough on a single honest page instead of building individual pages for neighborhood names.

Do you serve towns outside Nassau County?

Yes. Eight nearby towns, including New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, Yonkers, Bronxville, Harrison, Rye, Mamaroneck and Scarsdale, fall in Westchester County, and we cover them the same way.
